Know Your Rights to Equal Healthcare Services – Part 1

Wednesday, September 20, 2:00 – 3:30 EDT

Join us for a FREE online two-part series about the rights of people with disabilities to equal healthcare services and how to file administrative complaints with federal agencies. In Part 1, we will discuss federal law: The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 1557 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA), and their requirements for:

  • accessible facilities,
  • reasonable modifications to policies, procedures, and practices, and
  • the current guidance on accessible medical and diagnostic equipment.

The workshop is led by Pamela Williamson and Barry Whaley (pictured below) from the Southeast ADA (SEADA) Center. The Southeast ADA Center provides Resources, Training, and Information on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
