Nolin Lake

There are two accessible fishing piers here (possibly three, but I only visited two).

ADA-Accessible Fishing Pier #1 Location: Dog Creek Recreation Area, Cub Run, KY 42729 (Coordinates: 37.32028°N, 86.13252°W) This location provides an accessible restroom inside the campground area. The pathway to the fishing pier begins under the gazebo in the recreation area (next to the playground). The pathway is not visible from the parking lot. Furthermore, the pathway is slightly steep. Manual wheelchair users will need strong upper body strength to navigate back up the pathway. Powerchair users shouldn’t have many issues navigating the path.

ADA-Fishing Pier #2 Location: Google Address is not correct. Must use coordinates (37.34701°N, 86.12318°W) This fishing pier is the most accessible. When you enter the Wax Marina parking lot, immediately turn left and take the road down to the fishing pier. There are no accessible restrooms, but the accessible parking lot is directly next to the pier. The surface is flat from the parking lot to the pier, so mobility-impaired people should have no trouble accessing the pier.
