Seated Mindful Flow

January 18 – March 21, 2024

Thursdays 3:30-4:45 ET

  • This is a FREE, mixed-level, 1.25 hour (1 hr & 15 min) class. It will start with mindful slow-flowing movement and stretching utilizing the upper body. Then it will transition to more invigorating movements that will build strength, including core strength, and flexibility.
  • Modifications and options will be provided, which will allow you to move at your own pace and to challenge yourself as much as feels good to you in each moment. Family members and caregivers are encouraged to join us.
  • Family members/caregivers are encouraged to participate.
  • Classes are Thursdays at 3:30:00pm Eastern Time in the U.S. (2:30 CT; 1:30 MT; 12:30 PT).
  • Class is led by Rodrigo Souza, who has a T3 complete spinal cord injury. Rodrigo is an RYT 200 Adaptive & Accessible Yoga teacher with experience in teaching yoga to folks who have gone through trauma and disability.
  • He received his Adaptive Yoga Certification training under Matthew Sanford, the leading pioneer of adaptive yoga.
  • Through direct personal experience with traumatic injury and chronic pain, and discovering the need to take charge of his recovery to optimize long-term well-being, Rodrigo decided to become a Yoga teacher and teach from his own experience, creating Allihopa Accessible & Adaptive Virtual Yoga Studio.
